Client story. Blue Voyage Thailand paid Silicon Valley Innovation, the company that publishes SV News, to build the new website this story describes.

When a customer asks ChatGPT "Which yacht charter in Phuket is best?", the answer names only a handful of companies. Would your business be one of them?

That is the problem Tanchanok "Omi" Vajarodaya, founder and CEO of Blue Voyage Thailand, a private yacht charter company with 22 boats, set out to solve. She relaunched the website at bluevoyagethailand.com in October 2026 around two things: SEO, which means being found on Google, and AEO, answer engine optimisation, which means being the business an AI answer names.

SV News sums up why this matters now, what the new site changed, and five moves any Thai business can copy, from a hotel to a clinic.

Customers ask AI before they book, and the answer has room for few names

Owning the boats is only half the contest.

In yacht charter, agents and brokers often resell owners' boats. A market check by Silicon Valley Innovation in early October 2026 found that agents also listed 12 of the 24 boats on Blue Voyage's website, with baht prices in their page titles. On a Google search for one of those boats by name, agents took eight of the top nine results.

AI raises the stakes. To answer a question such as "the best yacht charter companies", AI tools often draw on ranked lists, and most of those are written by agents and competitors. Put simply, whoever gives Google and AI the clearest facts has the best chance of being named in the answer.

From one second-hand boat to 22, in four destinations

Omi's story starts with her savings and a single boat.

In 2014 Omi spent about THB 2 million of her savings on one second-hand 26-foot boat, Forbes Thailand reported. In the early years she built the website, ran the social media and took the bookings herself, according to Boat International, which profiled her in December 2025 as a Thai entrepreneur building a charter business across the region. Forbes Thailand reported revenue of THB 80.2 million in 2024, about 40 times the savings she spent on that first boat.

Her starting point was the customer, not the boat. She told Robb Report Thailand in September 2026 that the market back then was "selling boats", when what guests really wanted was "an experience". The fleet now has 22 vessels in Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui and Krabi. She also founded Southfleet, a Phuket shipyard that has designed and built boats for Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Banyan Tree and Anantara, and the company is building its own marina.

Her next steps go further: a new superyacht project in Europe and a move into private aviation. She told Robb Report Thailand that the next frontier in luxury travel is "connecting the entire journey". The new website comes from the same idea, because a trip now often starts with a question typed into Google or an AI assistant.

6 changes on Blue Voyage's new website

Each one helps customers, Google and AI understand the business in a single read.

  • Prices in baht: Each boat's starting price appears on the home page and on the price page. It is for the whole boat with a set number of guests included, and any other currency shown beside it is worked out at a fixed rate, such as USD 1 to THB 35.
  • A page for every trip: Pages such as Phuket catamaran charters and Pattaya island yacht trips come in Thai and English, and the Thai pages have Thai web addresses, so every search has a page that answers it.
  • Labels for Google: Every page carries structured data, labels in the page code that tell Google what the page is about and who runs the business, with the same legal name and company registration number on every page.
  • A summary for AI: The llms.txt file works like a one-page cheat sheet for AI, listing the company name, registration number, the piers in each destination, every boat with its starting price, and how prices work. The site also welcomes the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI.
  • Reviews from real guests: Google and Tripadvisor ratings for each destination, with selected reviews linking to the original review sites.
  • Fast on phones: Google's PageSpeed test, which measures how fast a page loads, scored the new home page 86 out of 100 on phones on 24 October 2026.

In other words, what customers want to know before they book, the price, the pier and the reviews, is written as plain text in one place, so people and AI can read it and pass it on straight away.

Measure before designing, then wait 6 weeks before judging

Silicon Valley Innovation, the company that publishes SV News, worked with Blue Voyage on the relaunch.

The work started with measurement rather than design: the market check above, plus a fixed list of Google searches and AI questions asked the same way every week, so each week can be compared with the last. The site was then rebuilt with fast pages, structured data on all 118 of them, and the old page addresses checked to lead to the new ones.

Silicon Valley Innovation expects Google rankings and AI answers to take about six weeks to settle after a new website goes live, so the first fair measure is due in early December 2026. If you have just relaunched your own site, give it the same time before you judge whether it worked.

5 moves any Thai business can copy this week

You do not need a yacht to use the same method.

  1. Write your prices in baht, as plain text, where customers look first, and say clearly what the price includes.
  2. Give each product, service or location its own page, in Thai and English.
  3. Label your pages with structured data, and write your company name and address the same way everywhere: on your website, on Google Maps and on social media.
  4. Let AI tools read your site, and add an llms.txt file that sums up your business on one page.
  5. Pick ten questions your customers ask, ask Google and an AI assistant every month, and write down who gets named.

FAQ

What is the difference between SEO and AEO?

SEO, search engine optimisation, is about ranking in Google's list of links. AEO, answer engine optimisation, is about being the business that AI answers from Google, ChatGPT or Perplexity name. Both depend on clear facts: what you sell, where, at what price and how to book.

Who founded Blue Voyage Thailand?

Tanchanok "Omi" Vajarodaya founded Blue Voyage Thailand in 2014, starting with one second-hand 26-foot boat. She is the company's CEO.

What is an llms.txt file?

A plain text file on a website that sums up the business for AI tools on one page: its name, what it sells, where, and how it works. Blue Voyage added one with its relaunch.
