Want AI to get your website onto Google, edit a Photoshop file or summarise a YouTube video, but not sure how to ask? There are now ready-made skills you can try for free.
SV Academy, a Bangkok AI school, published four new skills on its GitHub account between 17 September and 10 October 2026: sv-seo-aeo, sv-autopilot, sv-edits and sv-auto-learner. All of them use the MIT licence, which lets anyone use and adapt them for free.
A skill is a ready-made set of instructions that an AI coding assistant such as Claude Code follows for one kind of job. Anthropic introduced the format on 16 October 2025, the company said. Put simply, instead of explaining a long job every time, you call the skill and the AI knows what to do, step by step.
SV News sums up what each one does, and how to start safely if you want to try one.
4 skills, 4 jobs: from Google listings to Photoshop files
Each one does a different job.
- sv-seo-aeo: gets a live website that does not yet show up in search found by Google and Bing. The AI writes the files search engines read, such as a sitemap, llms.txt and robots.txt, then walks the owner through Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
- sv-autopilot: keeps the AI working until a set time is up, say six hours, instead of stopping after the first batch. It runs on macOS and Linux.
- sv-edits: edits PSD files, .ai files and MP4 clips without an editing app or an Adobe subscription, and leaves the original file untouched.
- sv-auto-learner: turns a YouTube video, a playlist or a screen recording into notes, a one-page summary and a new skill for your business. The audio and video are processed on your own computer.
For sv-seo-aeo, the README puts the job at about 40 minutes on a static site and sets three rules: never invent a fact about the business, never ask for a password, and hide pages that hold customer data. Be aware that a new site can take days or weeks to appear in search, and no tool can guarantee it.
Alongside the four, sv-motion, a skill that makes a short launch video with Thai and English captions, gained a second version on 29 September.
The skills are free, but Claude Code needs a plan
The skills cost nothing, but the tool that runs them does. Claude Code needs a paid Claude plan or an Anthropic Console account, according to its setup guide, and the tools a skill downloads keep their own licences.
SV Academy's skills index gives the origin of every skill in its lesson table, such as the company's own work, an adaptation of a named project or a complete rewrite. For example, sv-autopilot adapts the part that keeps the AI working from egregore, part of athola's Claude Night Market plugins, which also use the MIT licence.
Try one safely: start with these 4 steps
A skill can run code on your computer, so Anthropic advises using skills only from trusted sources. To try one:
- Read the SKILL.md file first. All but sv-autopilot keep their whole method in that one file, which you can read yourself or have the AI summarise before anything runs.
- Check what the skill sends out. sv-motion, for example, sends anonymous usage data while it makes a video, unless you turn that off.
- Start small. sv-auto-learner suggests a first try on a short video with a Creative Commons licence.
- To download a YouTube video with the standard licence, you need permission from YouTube or the creator first. sv-auto-learner asks you every time and deletes the downloaded video once the summary is done.
