Thai Chuay Thai Plus ends 30 Nov: check your balance
The 1,000 baht state share per person covers the two months together, not 1,000 a month, and the state pays at most 200 baht a day, so plan your spending before the scheme closes.

You are standing at a grilled pork and sticky rice stall with your phone ready to scan, but you are not sure whether today's state share is still there. Pay now and you get the 60% discount, or you pay full price. Many people who confirmed for Thai Chuay Thai Plus at the start of October may be asking the same thing, because this round does not run forever and the allowance does not top up when a new month begins.
The scheme is Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) (additional round), under which the state covers 60% of what you buy and you pay 40% through the Paotang app. You can spend until 30 November 2026, and the scheme closes at 23:00 on the last day, Thairath reported. Anyone who has not confirmed is now too late, because the confirmation window in Paotang ran from 1 to 15 October. People who did confirm can carry on spending in November with no need to confirm again or sign up for anything else.
The 1,000 baht covers both months together
The 1,000 baht figure is the ceiling on the state's share per person across the whole scheme. It is not money transferred into a wallet, and it is not 1,000 baht a month. So November brings no fresh allowance, and anyone who spent a lot in October has less left this month. There is a second ceiling: the state helps by no more than 200 baht a day. If you buy 300 baht of goods, the state pays 180 baht and you pay 120 baht. If you buy 500 baht, the state still pays only 200 baht and you pay the rest.
To picture it, the state reaches its 200 baht for the day when you buy about 333 baht of goods, and it reaches the full 1,000 baht when your purchases add up to about 1,667 baht, of which you pay roughly 667 baht yourself. Because of the 200 baht daily cap, someone with the full 1,000 baht still left can use it up in five days at the fastest. We worked these figures out ourselves from the 60/40 split, but they are the reason not to wait until 29 November to open the app, because the fewer days that remain, the tighter the daily cap squeezes.
If you use less than the full 200 baht on a given day, the unused part does not disappear. The system returns it to your total and recalculates your allowance at 06:00 every day. That means skipping a day does not cost you your allowance, but it does not let you claim more than 200 baht the next day either.
Check what is left in the Paotang app
Before your next payment, open the Paotang app and tap the banner for Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) on the home page, or reach it from the main G Wallet page, as both work. The steps are shown with pictures in the scheme's user guide. The screen shows two figures to watch: the allowance left for today, and the total allowance left for the rest of the scheme. The first tells you how many more baht the state will cover today, and the second tells you how much of the state's share remains before the deadline. The same page has a button for your spending history over the past three months and one for the list of participating shops, so you can check that the shop you plan to visit really takes part.
Your own share has to be in G Wallet, the wallet inside Paotang that is used for this scheme, before you scan to pay. If you buy 100 baht of goods, the state pays 60 baht and you need 40 baht in G Wallet, so top it up with enough for what you expect to spend, because the payment will not go through if the balance is short. And if you buy more than the daily cap or more than the allowance you have left, you pay the difference yourself. People who get stuck installing the app or signing up for G Wallet can ask for help at a Krungthai Bank branch, with more detail at Thansettakij.
Which shops take it, and what does not count
The allowance works only at participating shops that receive money through the Thung Ngern app, the payment-receiving app used by small shops in government schemes. To pay, open the scheme's banner in Paotang and use the QR scanning bar on that page to scan the shop's QR code, not the general scan screen, or the state's share will not be applied. A shop with a Thung Ngern QR code at the counter is the place to start, and if you are unsure, ask the vendor or look at the shop list in the app.
What you can buy is food, drinks, general goods and public transport. Not covered are lottery tickets, alcohol, tobacco products, gift vouchers or cash cards, and services paid for in advance. Food and drink ordered through participating delivery apps also counts, but the ordering window is shorter, from 06:00 to 21:00, and the state does not cover the delivery fee. Other shops accept payment until 23:00 every day.
How much has been spent, and what happens to what is left
The latest figures the government has announced are for 16 October 2026 at 23:00: 26.74 million people had taken up the right, 1.19 million shops had been verified, and cumulative spending was about 26,809 million baht, of which the state paid 15,558 million baht and people paid 11,251 million baht themselves. The full report is at Thairath. Dividing the state's share by the number of people who took up the right gives an average of about 580 baht each in the first two weeks. That average is our own calculation, so anyone who has spent more than that has less left, while anyone who has not spent yet may still have the full 1,000 baht.
As for what happens to money you do not use, the 1,000 baht was set for the two months of the scheme, and no announcement has appeared letting you carry what is left past 30 November. Treat any unused allowance as lost when the scheme closes. Today, open Paotang and look at what you have left, top up G Wallet with enough, and plan which days to spend before 23:00 on 30 November. If 600 baht is left, you need at least three days at 200 baht a day, so start this week.
